About Us

Veterinarian Holding a Puppy & Kitten

Serving the Whistler Community since 1993

For over 30 years, Coast has been a team of talented professionals coming from all over the world, who all chose Whistler as their home. The only thing we love more than the mountains and the lakes of the sea-to-sky are the pets! As our community has grown and changed, our team has worked hard to prepare themselves for all the new challenges that come with those changes. With the lack of emergency facilities near by, our team has trained and remained up-to-date on emergency procedures, surgeries, ultrasound and radiology, cytology, and much more. We know that while we are not able to replace an emergency facility, we try to bridge the gap the best we can. Our Stryker Fund is there to support our community members who are faced with the challenge of paying for out-of-the-blue life saving care. We work with many other veterinarians and organizations like WAG, the SPCA and Critter Care to tackle the out of the ordinary - like whole litters of puppies, or injured wildlife.

When not at the clinic, you may catch us on the slopes in the winter, at the lakes in the summer, volunteering for local organizations, hiking with our dogs (and sometimes yours!) and hanging out as a team. We’re incredibly proud to be part of you and your pets’ lives and part of the Whistler community. Thank you for trusting us, and we look forward to seeing you!

Your First Visit

Upon entering the reception area, our friendly staff will direct you to our weigh scale and record your pet’s weight for the doctors. We record this on every visit so that the doctor can make diet and exercise recommendations, as well as establishing a baseline for potential future illnesses.

After weighing your pet, you will be direct to one of our exam rooms. Upon familiarizing themselves with your pet and the reason for your visit, one of our highly skilled doctors will introduce themselves to you and your pet and examine them from nose to tail. Upon completing a thorough examination, the Doctor will then address any specific concerns you may have regarding your pet. Our doctors care very much about the animals they see, so any question or concern you may have about the health of your animal is important to them.
